I recently read a devotional by Tony Evans, find the link here: (http://tonyevans.org/2016/02/his-glory-wont-be-shared/) and he wrote about how God won’t share His glory with anyone. What struck me the most was the sentence: REMEMBER, GOD USES ALL THINGS FOR HIS GLORY. He further stated that, even the painful experiences we go through, will be used for God’s glory if we yield everything to Him.

I found this exhilarating! Knowing that all my experiences (good, bad and ugly), will be used for His glory. Knowing that even my past mistakes, and bad decisions, can be turned around to bring glory to God. This is not encouraging bad behaviour in any shape or form, and then using the excuse that it will work out for good. NO! God gives us the grace NOT to sin, as opposed to committing sin, and then expecting grace to abound.

It can be hard sometimes, trying to figure out how certain things can be used for His glory, particularly when we go through trying times, but I guess that is the mystery of God’s majesty! He alone knows HOW to make it all work out for our good.

I have to remind myself at all times, that God will ultimately take the glory, for whatever phase of life I am living through. I dare not share in His glory, when things work out the way I prayed for, or feel despondent, when things don’t go exactly the way I thought they would thinking God has forsaken me.

My prayer is that I see God in every situation, it can be hard sometimes, but absolutely ‘doable’.
